About

Who We Are

Nathaniel and Shelly Isler-Williams both grew up in Georgia about forty-five minutes apart from one another. Although they had mutual friends and both attended college in the state of Tennessee, they did not meet until Shelly walked into a Chick-fil-A in Dallas, TX, where Nathaniel was managing.

Nathaniel and Shelly were both attending Dallas Theological Seminary and Shelly was looking for a job.

Six months later they were dating; nine months after that engaged and married seven months after that.

After being in ministry for two years in Austin, God brought them to New Braunfels, TX. After five years of marriage and many failed attempts to get pregnant, the Lord brought them four children through foster care and adoption. Kyla is twenty-three and in law enforcement. Mercedes is eleven, Manuel is ten, and Alex is eight.

The family has lived in New Braunfels, TX for the last eleven years. Their heart and love for this city has grown just as fast as the city itself.

WHy Church Plant?

Nathaniel was called by God to be a pastor from middle school. He has served in various roles and various size churches from the time he was eighteen years old. God has used him in three different churches here in New Braunfels, last of which is our sending church of Gospel Life Church. In 2018, The Lord began to stir in Nathaniel and the elders of Gospel Life Church the idea of a church plant here in New Braunfels. Through much prayer, discussions, and more prayer everyone involved believed that another Bible believing, Gospel preaching church was exactly what God would want for the city and area of New Braunfels where the Isler-Williams family lived. Impact Community Church of New Braunfels is the fruition of God’s provision and mission of inviting those around us to embrace the good news of Jesus in all of life by engaging our community with the power and love of Jesus.
